Course Content
To provide participants with the theory and skills necessary to undertake Basic Worksite Traffic Management and Traffic Control.
This training is mandatory for anyone who will be involved in control and management of traffic as part of their normal duties. It is suggested that this training form an integral part of induction training for employees intending to work in these areas.

Prepare Work zone Traffic Management Plan (RIICWD503A)
Course Content
Preparation of high-risk (complex) Traffic Management Plans including those in accordance with and up to the planning level specified in Clause 2.2.1(c) of AS1742 Part 3 - 2009.
This course addresses the skills requirements of personnel involved in the traffic management planning for trafficked worksites as part of their normal duties.
References: MRWA Code of Practice, Traffic Management for Works on Roads & AS 1742.3 Certification in AWTM is dependent upon successful completion of written assessments and the successful completion and submission of 2 scenarios 'on the job' traffic management plans.

Course Content
This unit covers skills and knowledge required to carry out risk management processes in work site operations and is a mandatory requirement for the Advanced Worksite Traffic Management accreditation.
It includes:
- determine the risk management process;
- identify hazards;
- assess risk;
- identify unacceptable risk;
- identify potential actions;
- decide on action;
- implement or facilitate action;
- review the implementation of action;
- audit the risk management process; and
- complete records and reports.
The work in this unit relates to AS/NZS ISO 31000 Risk Management.
